A Story Born from the Memory of the Land

Some heritage is not only about the land.
It is about memories, labour and roots.

Our story began in this way.

The lands once owned by my father’s family were located around Arslantepe Mound in Malatya, today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our family left these fertile lands in the 1960s and moved to Ankara, but their memory remained with us.

Close to Arslantepe was another place deeply connected to my childhood: a garden belonging to my mother’s family, known as “Cennet Bahçe” — Paradise Garden.

Sun-dried Malatya apricots and white mulberries grew there. Some of my most beautiful childhood memories belong to this garden.

Years later, when I began creating my first handmade chocolate truffles, I found myself returning to those same flavours for inspiration.

WHEN A GARDEN BECOMES A MEMORY

Time changed everything.

The family lands were expropriated.
Years later, a motorway passed directly through Cennet Bahçe.

The garden no longer exists.

But its memory does.

The Arslantepe Collection was created to keep that memory alive.

FROM THE LAND TO CHOCOLATE

Sun-dried Malatya apricots, white mulberries, selected nuts and aromatic spices come together with dark chocolate in a collection inspired by the flavours, memories and agricultural heritage of Anatolia.

For us, these ingredients are more than part of a recipe.

They carry a connection to the land, to our family history and to the generations who cultivated Anatolia before us.

AN EDIBLE HERITAGE FROM ANATOLIA

Arslantepe is one of Anatolia’s most significant archaeological sites, offering remarkable evidence of the development of early administrative and political structures thousands of years ago.

Inspired by the seals once used at Arslantepe, each chocolate in the collection carries a special mark — a contemporary reference to identity, memory and continuity.

The Arslantepe Collection is therefore more than a chocolate collection.

It is a tribute to our past.
A memory dedicated to Cennet Bahçe.
A story of land, labour and family.
An edible heritage inspired by Anatolia.
